Crafting more sustainable bedroom furniture
We take protecting America’s natural beauty seriously. So at Vaughan-Bassett, we follow eco-friendly practices that help us create more sustainable furniture.
- One for One program: We give seedlings to the Virginia Department of Forestry to replace every tree used in the production of our bedroom suites.
- State-of-the-art rough end systems: Our factories’ two rough end systems allow us to increase lumber yield by 20 percent – reducing the number of trees needed.
- Buying local: We buy more than 99 percent of our lumber within 500 miles of our factories and 80 percent within 200 miles. This helps us significantly reduce our carbon footprint.
- Sustainable Furniture Council: As a member, we’re committed to continuously improving our systems – while striving to be an industry leader in producing environmentally friendly bedroom furniture.
